Agree that oilmen are by nature an optimistic bunch. 10% chance of success!
He may be delusional re. PNG, but hopefully not!
My point is that he is not being deceptive re. paying down debt as this statement is based on their current planned production and Brent futures, therefore take him at his word.
He may gild the lily occasionally (again a trait of the optimistic oilman) re. timeframes for development projects which are much more subjective.
