Two possibilities I can entertain as someone who has native apps on both the Google Play and iOS App Store:
1) In my experience, Android store approval is usually much easier and hence that is the reason the app is available there first. iOS requires approval and testing by an Apple employee so could just be that process unfolding.
2) The android app is published already because Near Field Communication sensors on android phones are not locked, so the Xped app can call on that function directly. I understand Apple has so far blocked developers from using the near field hardware within iPhones due to trying to keep a stranglehold on the Apple Pay tech. I wonder if Xped have made an application of some sort to use the NFC given that they are not trying to use it for a financial transaction. I heard the big 4 banks here in aust recently kicked up a stink because Apple blocked them from using the pay wave type feature on their bank apps.
I much prefer to dream of option 2. Would be nice validation for Xped tech to get an approval like that from Apple.
All IMO. DYOR.
