MCrae, I too despair that Beasley is failing on all fronts as a Labor leader. I do think that Rudd has what it takes to be a great Labor leader if only he can be packaged in a way that makes him acceptable to the Australian public ever suspicious of "boffins and wonks"
One thing that reassures me is that political parties don't win elections, they lose them. In other words chages of government do not mostly happen because the electorate wants one party or the other. They happen because people throw old governments out that have become on the nose.
I do detect an increasing displeasure towards the Howard Govt as I go about my business. I just hope it's enough to get rid them come the next election.
