As I specifically mentioned, and you typically ignored, the number of Syrian deaths since the US involvement far outweighs any prior to then.
Syria was a relatively peaceful, prosperous country prior to US involvement with good health, good education systems and a decent standard of living, Very much like Libya until Clinton's " We Came, we saw and he died".
Gaddafi was no saint but like Syria, the Libyan people were far better off than they are now, and a lot more were alive before the US intervened!
