re: todays drop Both RIO and BHP came up as technical sells about a week ago - inline with the XAO and S&P 200 (and they have since traded down, which is a pity as I am a holder). A correction is all I expect and will probably be buying into what I hope to be the bottom of the dip in a few weeks.
Nothing wrong with taking a step back occaisionally - stops a bigger (and overdone) correction in the future.
