    Old School teaching techniques of repetition was a key strategy of indoctrinating children with 'presupposition'(strong belief is the measure of validity). Hold kids back by overloading them with 'spelling, times tables' etc was done to ensure that 'critical thinking' wasn't part of the curriculum.
