What a ridiculous comparison, between a poll on SMM and cancer funding. Billions are already spent on treating cancer and cancer research in Australia; from the Cancer Council Australia:
'Cancer costs more than $4.5 billion in direct health system costs (6.9%).
$378 million was spent on cancer research in 2000-01, 22% of all health research expenditure in Australia.'
And how many more would lives would be saved saved if more people took notice of the Cancer Council's Slip Slop campaign. I am amazed at the number of people, especially the young, who take absolutely no notice.
And how many billions are spent by Governments, both State and Federal, on those in the homosexual community who refuse to take precautions, suffer the consequences and have to be helped, all at the tax paying public's expense?
