I'm not sure the lithium movement has ever really been subsidised in the states. wind and solar to an extent maybe, recycling sure. but I don't think electric vehicles and the shift away from petroleum is going to need the support of the us government. it will happen with out without them would be my guess.
also consider that they have already pre-sold 400,00 thousand cars in the states.
