FYI redroster I don't entirely dismiss the possibility of a Buk, but there was no evidence of a Buk trail from the rebel area, no explanation as the projectile holes and your claim the Russians agreed is not the official government position (yes other Russian sources have agreed it was or likely a Buk).

All we need is an open transparent investigation with all hard evidence used (this is what should have happened at the start), but given the current mentality between both the US and Russia an open release of the data in a joint investigation is not possible.
