agree hangas.. we are to some degree led by the CEO who in turn is lead by the potential partners (interactions) who may have lead him to believe things were closer than they were but we will never really know and i will always believe that Geoff never intentionlly lied about those situations ( i spoke to him personally and can tell you he sounded deflated and peeved off after the PC call) ...

hell i recently received verbal confirmation from a well known hotel group that i had won a project.. received a purchase order and then had it cancelled after goods were made and was told basically.. tough we dont need it now we are getting it from someone else.. talk to the lawyers.. luckily for us the other product turned out to be inferior quality and they had to return tail between their legs and bought our product anyway..

The big boys don't give a rats about the small boys.. we were taken for a ride but i think Jef the new guy has been dealing with the "bigger" boys for long enough to know the moves.. have my reservations about his focus on R&D here in Oz though .. hoping they dont just use ADO for their own benefit and let all existing projects fizzle out and use the tech for their own products as i think that will just result in standard... high single, low double digit annual increases in turnover (boring scenario)... and we lose our blue sky potential..
