suggest that you look back through the rsg threads. jkim, gives a good rundown on rsg. up strongly today, on the back of the stronger gold price. despite negative comments about the hedge book, the stock responds strongly to increases in the gold price. a shame that they got of of valhalla so soon, as there was a lot of upside in the company - and not only that, they had to agree to indemnify paladin $75m. incase there is an adverse finding against rsg - argghhhhh -.

the 10m oz reserve base, is too difficult to ignore, and that is whay watso just sits on the stock, suggest that you read the posts, and take into account the negative points - which are

hedge book - far too many oz hedged ,
high cost producer - cash costs of production are far to high, and indeed there is very little margin between the hedges, and the cost of production
syama- a real wild card, as two other majors have looked at this project, and lost heaps on it - having said that, rsg, thing that they have a different treatment method, which they think will work - but who knows.

despite aquiring the ravenswood operations, (as well as syama), at the right time (well before the gold price really strengthened), the costs at ravenswood have never come close to meeting the expected costs - arghhh - but with luck, that could change - [articularly when mt wright comes on stream

the tanzanian taz issue - there was some announcement the other day, about something or the other, but from memory, it did not resolve the tax issue - even though the announcement had something to do with tax - but it had something to do with how the company will do things in future - not the past taz issue
