    Yeah , except it's not built yet and it's only designed to be a peak shaver anyway .

    For us to go to 100% renewable we will need absolutely massive storage facilities . And , we will need maybe 10 times nameplate capacity renewables to charge those storages .

    Yes , theoretically could be done . But it's an awful long way off .

    Have a look at the most excellent Nemwatch widget . See how much of Australia's power is fossil fuel . Now multiply that by several times in order for renewables to give us 24/7 electricity . It's a bloody big ask .
