Well you probably are aware, but in these large organisations, when pay increases are given to Senior management, it's then filtered down to all levels of staff. The discussion was about salary increases, not bonus.
Some management and staff will be working extra hours and more responsibility after the restructuring.
Senior management may also be required to travel more frequently or stay away from family for longer periods of time. These are a couple things to consider, imo
