Don't know about encouraging. Of course nothing goes in a straight line, and we should always expect retracements, re-tests etc. And head fakes too, which I'm thinking this might be.
LON opened a few minutes ago, and as a rule they tend to move prices up (and then NY, down). CME is Closed Monday for Columbus Day Holiday (tho I think NYSE is Open). So no CME Trading tonight. We'll next see what they do Tues night, our Wed morning.
My expectation was a sweep of the bear stops at the Friday high I mentioned above, and then a decline to Friday's low.
The former hasn't happened...hi was missed (as of now), fell short, by about 43 c. The latter may be happening as gold price now retreating (at 1,262,22). Make that 1,261.90
