I think FAR had someone warmed to the idea of buying through PE.
You can't seriously tell me that you think FAR took on COP without a backer? The first question the Senegalese government would have asked FAR is who is your backer if you intend to go down this path. If FAR had said we don't have one we are just stalling while we look for one the government would have passed the deal on the spot IMO. If COP suspected that FAR were bluffing they would have started PE on the spot and FAR would have had no hope of doing a complex deal in 30 days.
The only bit I think you got right is the price and your last line..... but we really have no idea what the real price is. DB
