Maybe the reason is many biotechs, like many mineral explorers are not formed to get a product to market, but instead to market a conceptual product to the public merely to raise capital and hence all the money goes into management and staff fees until the shareholders cotton on and turn off the tap. Lost a ton on biotech scams in Australia.
Anyway..... as for the TPP. On the fact that corporations can sue governments if we change the law and impact their profits... I hope it does not get up in that form. This places the rights of corporation above those of the citizen. This concept is absolutely INSANE and an anathema to a democracy where laws will change over time.... like a smoking ban.
