Where have I ever said the Holy Spirit wasn't at the beginning, but if you think it is the same today regarding the Holy Spirit, then you have missed a Key element or part of what Christ did for us and NOT got a clue on the comforter subject.
The Spirit of God, Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit are one in the same. Christ received the Spirit of God = He didn't have it, are you suggesting they lie?
YOU are twisting John 17:23 to what you want to believe and not what Christ teaches, read the hole truth and that being all of 17. Christ is asking God, that we all become ONE IN UNITY as He IS with his God and Father and this is through The One and Only True God's whose Spirit is the ONE and only TRUE HOLY SPIRIT who always had eternal life. We become ONE through ONE SPIRIT.
I have given you more than enough verses (which you refuse to answer or see, it seems) how The God (singular) is The Light. You have ignored and disregarded John 5:26 Where the Father has given the Son to have life in himself.
We are NEVER children of Christ, but brothers to him. We can't be both children and brother to him.
Let us make man in our image - for goodness sake's or yours - You either are saying Jesus lies or ignoring his words which are from His God and Father; Mark 10:6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. Look in Gen and see who did the actual making as it certainly wasn't Christ. Then look at the verses I gave you, God is, God and Father of Jesus = True God and True Son which YOU MUST believe.
If you want to hang onto the Jesus is God, you can talk yourself around until your blue in the face but, what you are saying is; Jesus is his own Father and God, there is NO other way based on your thinking, don't kid yourself. THINK!
Your post made a clear statement - God was the Holy Ghost but he wasn't the Father - I showed you the verses that made that look rather silly, which I suggest, you couldn't bring yourself to see, or something?
So tell me, do you think God has two Spirits. He is "a" Spirit which Christ received (Spirit of God) at his baptism, you agree the Holy Spirit is God = I don't think you really know what you think because it certainly doesn't add up. God is NOT two Spirits.
As for Christ being the word when in Fact he is The word of God = part of many of The God's words, so that means, you can't be what you are OF = The Word. Just like Christ can't be God because, He is the IMAGE OF God = you can't be what you are of, the original. So to all that claim this = Foolishness to God.
If you say, Christ is the word, your in all certain terms saying - Christ is The Creator because the word created.
God all the way through the OT, repeatedly says or makes it clear, I am The One and only God, over and over he says this.
All of creation which God again repeats over and over, was by the word of God and His Spirit. (God's word playing a Huge roll children)
So that is what the word is in John, was in God (thoughts/plans) before anything, so as John says, was Him. That beginning in John is the beginning of God's thoughts'plans = His Word and 1:2 The same thought plan was in the beginning with God, (who does anything without thinking/planning first) 1:3 All things were made by him (By, as OT Says, His words and actions Spirit) and without him, word, spirit, nothing was made that was made.
God gives all, the breath of life - show one verse where Christ does that, just one!!! (Not talking eternal life here).
Show one verse where Christ himself says he created.
Show one verse where Christ Says he is God OR part of a three God - Was that a secret???
OR, was this part of what Christ put off = Memory?
Christ it the true Church, we must follow what he says, He challenges people for claiming he said he was God when in fact he told them, He was the SON of God. Even you don't believe him. Did Christ ever say, OH but this was only while I'm on earth? = Anti Christ calling you here.
Yes there is around 3-4 verses in the NT that imply or could be taken to suggest Christ involved in creation, there are answers there as well, but no point in going there.
Anyway, I forgot, we went down part of this road before and then, you clearly ignored verses I put up. You on the odd occasion pick a minor point and ignore much. So if you can't be bothered helping yourself and reading for yourself, then we might as well not bother.
