Its superior if you go by the graphs in the latest announcement. But then again, they appear to have got their competitor pricing figures mixed up - lets hope their bench-marking and testing process was rigorous enough.
Marketing will be the killer. The game plan will be:
- Advertise to the hilt, pay-per download schemes with discounted promo's to get users on board.
- Downloads up. Users up. Announce user growth to market. More growth, more downloads. Happy days.. all this in the next 3 months.
The risk is that by the next quarterly (in January) it could turn out that it costs gazillions in marketing and COGS is more than revenue. Cue uproar..
Just a hypothesis based on what I have seen with other companies and products. Might turn out quite different
