Any acquisition especially substantial acquisition will have to be proposed acquisition at the initial stage as there will be precedent conditions such as due diligence, authority's approval, shareholders approval etc to be fulfilled for completion.
JCT's 4 May 2016 announcement has the word proposed. Not the initial one tho'.
