well, maybe Peter Garrett is a pragmatist....and, gee, a politician (aarrgghh). After all, he did switch from the No-Nukes party to the Labor Party when it became obvious that he was never gonna get far in that fringe party.
Also, a friend of mine used to be Garrett's neighbour up on the Northern Beaches. Years ago, during renovations at Garrett's house, my friend noticed a delivery of rare rainforest timber there. Funny about that.
