CP i'm not concerned re tls short term ie as previously posted i don't lose sleep over tls whether $5 or $6 as long as u suggest I recieve that div.And imo there r very few stocks on the asx that provide that type of div security.
But,clearly tls has suggested in 2020 ebitda may negatively b effected when nbn transistion payments and access payments end in 2020.Tls suggests reduction in ebitda may b $2b to $3b.
So telstra then suggests they need to replace the ebitda obviously to maintain/increase their div by 2020.
Yes everybody knows the massive increase in data forcast by 2020 due to the internet of things.But imo no one can forecast the profitability/pricing in providing a 5g utility service by 2020 which 5g will b widespread by 2020 .(sry joe i'm trying).
Now excluding their 5g trials /roll out by 2020 which is imperative ,they need growth businesses.My suggestion imo is obviously buy back sensis and as posted previously transform its massive advertising marketing customer base to the previously mentioned new advertising technology business models,ie proven high growth high profit business models.And employ someone with the ability to design modern user friendly websites,they can start with the telstra and sensis websites.
Tls says they r trialling google cars and agri sensors,great but r they just going to supply the utlity service of 5g connectivity for other companies that actually supply the sensor technology to farmers ?.
Example telstra trialled successfully transferring funds to yr pre paid phone by tapping yr nfc phone at advertising boards at bus stops etc with technology partner tapit,I thought great tls will get into the digital advertising business.But no tapit,the partner clearly had the interest and continues to sell nfc technology globally.What did tls do,nothing ,just like trujillos nfc trials.
ps would love to know if the conroy raids were connected to the ongoing lease payments nbn will conitinue to make to tls for the next 30 to 55 years for leasing tls's duct and pit infrastructure?.The only figure i can find as suggested by various articles referring to a leaked goldman sachs report to nbn is $98b over 55years.(remembering these lease payments have nothing to do with $11b nbn dollar value) the lease payments r plus $11b figure which is forecast to b completed by 2020.
Even if u halve the figure it would still give a reasonable return on thodeys figure of valuing the fixed infrastructure at $20b.By my bad memory thodey said infrastructure was not sold to nbn because of the high $20b value so it was leased to govt over 30 to 55 years.
The obvious question why the 'maybe' confidentaility clause,otherwise the figure would b public.Who is ashamed of the lease figure ,the labor govt or tls.My guess the previous labor govt and maybe there is a clause where tls is not able to ipo fixed network even if to an australian super funds and maintained by an australian co for security reasons.
hmmm what happens in 2020 when the first lease pay ment is probably due ,the figure has to show up somewhere,lol hmm forget the police raids on conroys office regarding nbn, y did conroy resign with little notice??.
Here is an idea for tls start ups,forget google spell check,create an app that spells checks,punctuates corrects sentence structure and uses capitals when required.
