Anyone have thoughts on how VoLTE or Voice over Wifi will impact on the products NOR are pitching. I note Telstra is trialling the later and Vodafone amongst the telco's the former.
The future of both is that users of cellular networks will be able to roam (voice and text) onto wifi networks.
Full integrated calling would appear the end game, all within control of the Telco. Means users would be able to keep their number, call wherever etc.. sounds familiar.
Perhaps NOR's wifi roaming thing could benefit from it if this increases peoples general Wifi hotspot usage but I personally can't see such a product taking hold in a significant (or profitable) way - time will tell though.
Anyone taking punts on the cash-burn and bottom line in the quarterly?
