    thanks for your comments Gann
i am a zinc bull for a number of reasons.
    1. i believe we are in a commodities supercycle due to the demand of China and india, i take on board your comments about the USA but i think you will find the growth area for these commodities is those countries, not just for exporting back to the states but also for their own use in improving their 3rd world lifestyles into 1st world.
    2. The demand side of zinc is slowing but this is probably just China playing games as they are inclined to do. Greg Gailey did predict demand slowing as price increases and i imagine as price decreases then demand will increase.
    3. their is a global deficit of zinc and this has 1-2 years to run although some say even longer.
    4. zinc has few if any substitutes so users have to pay up. (copper pipes can be replaced by plastic etc)

having said all of that, the comments you have made are relevant to the short term and for technical traders who are trading these commodities they will come into play. however when the zinc is sold down by traders i think real buyers are using it as an opportunity to buy.

cheers and please continue to post well informed opposite opinions like you have today.

    andrewe
