re: chart of zinc Seals exactly. I don't know enough about zinc to know any more then basic observations, but I did acheive this on copper earlier this year.

Re inflation, it does not matter. Price of zinc has been built into the price since day one, zinc grows and moves according to the effects of inflation. Inflation is apart of the price, its part of the "ecosystem".

If you removed inflation you would get the same trend anyway.
