"There's a lot of traders on HC that never seem to do a bad trade"

sure is Nod.........part of the appeal of the 5 granders to me, is the fact that you can't hide, and you need to explain yourself...........its just as important when you are being watched, to explain the sale, as well as the buy.
The past year has seen my ratio of good trades increase greatly, due in a big way to this thread, and the knowledge gained, and from learning while being deeply immersed in trading to feed myself.
Recognising your flaws is hugely important...........correcting them is another............i for one am still working on my mistakes...........i have no doubt i can find the forgotten gems, ................having the full conviction to go hard, and.......recognising the potential is what brings me down, and not being able to recognise the strength and trend of a stock............believe me, looking at the list and seeing where they are now just astounds me if i had been smart enough to hold on.
And, there are plenty of rules to follow, which will smarten your game, i.e doubling down on a loser isnt too smart, unless your gathering a small illiquid special, that will have wild swings.
I personally wont chase stocks..............i'll walk back to the seat and wait for the next bus
When a stock becomes too well known on the threads, its my signal to leave............i just enjoy the solitude of the boneyard
yeah, so much involved in the game, and most would be covered in the knowledge thread

on a different note.........related in a roundabout way to the markets...........weather forecasting....if its such a science, and reliable............why do they give the forecasts away? i'd be selling the stuff if it worked
