Still feel 2007 will see a pretty nasty bear at some stage
I saw not one but 3 aticles from those most respect yeaterday, all wondered about these private equity deals and the eventual consequences
Ian McFarlane, ex RBA, who has been mumbling warnings for a while.
Ross Gittins, SMH senior econ writer.
Alan Kohler, finance writer for multiple publications.
All concerned with replace equity with debt for a quick buck and great fees. Fickle buyers who will try to all exit at the hint of trouble.
That's not to say that Oct/Nov 2007 won't start a decent bull leg again. but sometime before then I think we see a much bigger correction than we saw this May/June.
My best guess for tops is start of Jan, late Feb or Aug/Sep. All three may be tops of some level.
Best lows late June and Oct/Nov.
