Well, it might be her dam side. All i remember is that the trainer thought she didn't stay and the media made those excuses for her. It must be the dam side i am thinking of as I am sure most of their success is at between 1200 and 1600m. And the dam side has Success express which has sired group level sprinters.

All i am sayiing is that from memory the trainer or the media thought she didn't stay in the AJC derby. I was a little miffed at the Hartnell tactics yesterday giving up the barrier 7 advantage on a swoopers track. But, at a guess I am thinking they suspected Winx was suss to a staying test say he wanted to pile on the pressure. I haven't listened to today's commentary about the race, so that is just me speculating. And I just remember last year there was disappointment over her loss in the AJC Derby and the excuse of not staying was brought up. I tend to believe that as there has never been any serious suggestion of her running a Caulfield or Melb Cup which lends to the theory of connections' concerns over her staying.

If it was Hartnell's intent to make it a staying test, Winx certainly passed that hurdle yesterday.
