Just returned form the HDR funeral, at least I think thats what it was as there was a lot of suits walking around with serious looks on there faces. Heres what went down.
Room set up for 360 people. About 60 to 70 attendees.
Chairman ran the entire meeting being the only person to speak as follows:
Historical summary of where hardman had come from and how successful they had been.
Troubles at ching
Main pros and cons of scheme
Show proxy vote on screen (no comments but was a done deal)
Invite questions that specifically relate to scheme (no takers)
Put to a vote (ballot slips collected and counted by 3rd party)
Slide show of HDR's assets while vote counted
Final total vote displayed as per ASX announcement (no specific meeting vote shown)
Chairman declares vote passed by meeting and thanks shareholders for their support etc before declaring the meeting closed
Morning tea, better than previous, scoffed down just in time to make the final day at the WACA.
PS Not sure what year HDR was incorporated as I wasn't paying attention at the meeting, so 1994 is just a wild guess.
