yes, i've been buying and yes my porfolio has grown immensely this yr, so the stuff you call rubbish is actually very good for me.

and i shall keep doing so until the market turns. i see no indication of that happening, valuations are not irrational or extreme. there's quite a few great bargains around actually, if you pick the right stocks.

but if shorting works for you sandune, go for it, but it'll definitely help if you pick stocks which are in down trend or not doing well.
