Is it possible that when you completed your application with your broker , you put down a different address or even a slightly different name to the one showing your Chess/HIN account. If so, This will stuff up the registry transfer process and your shares will be manually issued to you with a SRN identifier.

Check the copy of your CFO application against both your name and address details showing in Chess, if they disagree in the tiniest detail, the registry couldn't transfer them to your trading account at Westpac.
