SIGNIFICANT URANIUM RESULTS FROM RECENT SAMPLING PROGRAM
MARENICA URANIUM PROJECT, NAMIBIA
The Directors of West Australian Metals Ltd (WME) are pleased to report that significant uranium
results have been received from Phase One of a trench and pit geochemical sampling program over
parts of its Marenica Uranium Project, Namibia (Figure 1). The results received confirm the presence
of significant and wide spread areas of near surface uranium mineralisation.
Significant results received from Phase One of the sampling program include:
Trench A4T3 3 metres averaging 1,483ppm U3O8
Trench A4T2 5 metres averaging 868ppm U3O8
Trench A4T2 80 metres averaging 241ppm U3O8, including 5 metres at 590ppm U3O8
Trench A3T1 50 metres averaging 160ppm U3O8 and 45 metres averaging 153ppm U3O8
Trench A2T1 125 metres averaging 120ppm U3O8
The exploration trenches and pit lie within an 18 sq km area containing numerous zones of surface and
near surface uranium mineralisation for which resources were calculated by Gold Fields in 1983
following completion of major drill programs. WME is targeting this, and other areas, with the
objective of defining a JORC compliant resource(s) containing at least 8,000 tonnes (or about 18
million pounds) of U3O8 (refer to ASX announcement of 17 October 2006) with drilling planned in
the first half 2007.
The Directors also advise that Phase Two of the sampling program has just been completed with
samples ready for dispatch to a laboratory in South Africa. The Phase Two results will be reported on
when they have been received and evaluated.
