You can see where this is going..... China retaliates firstly by restricting its national from coming to Oz, stops any investments of Oz properties maybe force existing investors to sell up by a set time, tears up IO/Coal contracts and revert to Brazil for special trade links. They (Brazilians) will roll out the red carpet like the French on Brexit English bankers.
Meantime we are left with an ad hoc FTA negotiation with Britain and a promise by US of a quick deal for being a 'friend'. We have to then chase EU markets like the Canada but we do not have 7 years to painstaking deal with all the fine prints.
Trade barriers go up everywhere but it will be good for the economy because at last we have massive inflation or is it stagflation? I like it.....
