In people's minds, rightly or wrongly, aviation is a heck of a lot safer. I think airlines have more engineers, safety experts, testing, risk assessors and risk profiling folk than amusement parks. And the regulation and compliance of work and safety officers from the Government seems a lot more thorough in aviation.
