I am newby when it comes to stocks - 7 days experience. However I stumbled over KAR when I did my initial research and bought some shares. Reading the latest feedback here in the forum seems it wasn't that bad of an idea. I don't know how to interpret (yet) many of the numbers but this was rough thinking: a. Read announcement regarding Petrobas and deducted through charts that this triggered activity and positive mood. b. The share was up $6 (or around that mark) and was 1.something climbing. If it went up that far before it can do it again right? c. Announcement of Director Annual Meeting with Petrobas background which indicates the deal will most likely go ahead. Based on the feedback here it seems like a good share to stick with for a while.
My somewhat concern - as a newby - is however how the conversion to KAR to an oil producer will affect the share price longterm. Doesn't that mean KAR will be more exposed to the oil price - that whole OPEC Iran game going on?
