Got to say the reaction by Qld Govt/ Police/ Media here has been over the top.
Yes, what happened is absolutely tragic and no doubt the families are suffering immense grief and things deserve to be investigated as thoroughly as possible.
But we've seen air crashes overseas where more people have died and the airline involved and airport continues around it. Does the Govt close down sections of road/ highways for days at a time when people unfortunately peris?
By all means keep the ride closed, or any area near to it to conduct the investigation, but to close the entire park, jeopardizing the livelihood of many devastated workers is poor.
Yes people don't expect to die at a theme park, but they don't expect to die on a highway or crossing the road either, yet it happens.
