Every election the partisans, zealots and shills come out to invariably tell us "this is the most important election in a generation".
You'd think people who've been around for awhile might have heard and seen all this before, and be a bit more sensible and cynical by now? Then again, these are the same kind of people who have swallowed Trump's empty rhetoric wholesale.
