I think its companies like BHP that have multiple listings on seperate stock exchanges. BHP has slight differences in pricings along with seperate time zones.
Listing into the Huge USA stock market gives a company access to a huge pool of retail, institutional and sophisticated investors. Where companies share pricing can be forward looking rather than based on fundamental structures.
Thats where a revolutionary technology gets catapulted upwards and then can gain more attractive investment structures for its growth, profit and share holders.
