The case was reopened in 1987: no new findings were made, although the police investigation and coronial inquiry were criticised. The fire forced the closure of Luna Park until 1982, when it reopened under a new name and new owners.

There are so many other examples of workplace deaths in public companies. I'm not aware of one instance where a CEO has been financially penalised, certainly not outside the terms of their agreement at least.
There are instances where CEO's have been criminally charged, none really get anywhere though.
