That's right. Effort should be rewarded. That's not to say that the exorbitant pay rates of CEO's, celebrities, sports figures, etc, is justified. Salaries should be capped at reasonable multiple of the average wage, as well as setting a reasonable minimum....significantly higher than it is now.
