Good work, prospects. It shows the amount of research put in by a lot of good people over the time since Xped first came to light, many things which were ridiculed by various posters which are now coming to fruition.

Discoverbus is now being openly mentioned because of the data centre trials in Singapore, and the success that VX and Xped had in that environment.

It solves a problem which was discussed on these threads some time ago, which is the difficulty of using radio to communicate in a data centre, where there is so much attenuation to low power signals. The partnership developed a system where the individual things are plugged into a wireless node, which then communicates to a gateway. The point recognition is done using discoverbus, whereby plugging the device in to the node for the first time brings it up for registration. This means that the NFC tap is not used, and commissioning in an industrial environment can proceed in a more controlled way (no missed or lost devices).

It is similar to how other IoT systems work, but with the Xped simplification factor added.

This gives Xped far more flexibility than the other systems, with multiple registration techniques available to better suit the different installation environments. I think that this is just the beginning of the innovative things that we will see, as ADRC gives the flexibility to do far more than the noisier big boys in the game have.

If the standards for IoT can be changed in the future, and multiple registrations to gateways becomes possible, it will put ADRC in the box seat with full dual redundancy available in the network, which really does make it attractive in an industrial environment.

It just proves that taking a different, more user driven path to IoT can provide real benefits over the traditional path taken by most others.

It also shows that these things take time .... and patience is a key virtue in holding this stock.
