Very categorical now a days aren't you spec. "nor have they ability to ramp up production above 150k ounces for an extended period ".
RMS has ~$90 million cash. That sort of money gives them the ability to execute and it is not like Magnet is not capable of delivering (see below). It sustained a plus 150k oz/year production run rate for many years. Once you find a juicy mineralised BIF you just keep sucking at the teat, they call this depth continuity. Its just that you can't prove it all up from the start, you need to establish positions underground from were to do your exploration. Esh
Historical production of 5.56 million ozs (before RMS).
Of that the Hill 50 UG produced 2.1 million oz and there is still more down there.
Year 2000 Production ~186koz
Year 2001 Production ~196koz
Year 2002 Production ~139koz
Year 2003 Production ~500koz
Year 2004 Production ~388koz
Year 2005 Production ~296koz
Year 2006 Production ~231koz
Year 2007 Production ~224koz
Year 2008 - 2011 (inactive, RMS acquires 2010 and restarts in 2011)
P.S. I'm not the one that brought up RMS on this thread but if you're going to kick it in the guts I'll give it some defence. You write off magnet too quickly spec IMO.
