I think he has the stamina of a champion and to his credit stayed as long as he did. The problem is with his action, the other two drop their heads which allows their hinds to drive to the line. That is where the power comes from in final stages of the Melb Cup. Holding his head too high doesn`t allow him to gain his maximum potential over 3200m.

I believe if he dropped his head and drove to the line no horse in the world would catch him.
