Despite the thread reading much like tabloid trash, I suspect there might be good reason for it. Like you say, opportunity is likely to be driving the decision to raise additional funds.
What other reasons are there for funds to be raised despite being cash rich? I can't think of any and dismiss others' suggestions re "management pocket lining"
