Do any of you really believe that a US$400m deal was done without the seller contacting the obvious buyer (total)?
All this conspiracy theory guff is turning me cool on Hot Copper
Total either was not interested at such a price or got outbid in a tender. If the latter, and it wants back in now, then it is not suddenly going to cut a sweetheart deal with FAR.
Most likely this is about management positioning themselves, not us, better.
I hope i later owe them an apology. But i doubt it
