re: closing price just let it go One would expect the nickel price to come down if there is a reducton in metals generally, although gold and copper seem hardest hit.
Buyers hold off buying hoping the price of Nickel will come way down. But because of the supply situation, it only comes down a bit, and will soon go up again as buyers find they must buy.
This type of volatility is normal.
