    Ha Croma, I was the same.

    I memorised all the squares from 2- 200.
    An oddity is if you have 2 numbers to multiply, say 80 x 100, if you square the midpoint (90x 90) and subtract the square of the difference (10 x10) you have your answer. Not really much use most times but if you asked me to multiply say 144 by 156 you'd be impressed by my speed. lol.
