    With the USA you see a lot of differences between the States on how a lot of things are done in general.
    I've visited the USA a number of times but not having lived there as a voter I don't have a deep understanding of how their system works, other than on election day the citizens are voting for all sorts of different elected positions apart from the position of President.

    Choosing each state's Electors is a two-part process. First, the political parties in each state choose slates of potential Electors sometime before the general election. Second, on Election Day, the voters in each state select their state's Electors by casting their ballots for President.
