"Hillary Clinton would have been preferred as President
by a majority of American voters."
Eagle,
I did find it surprising that in the local paper there were 15 pages about the result of this election but not one mention anywhere of the actual result statistically in numerals?
So this thread was my first attempt after work to find out what the actual result was and I had no luck here either so I googled "presidential election result 2016" and eventually found these figures below which "totes amazing" don't total 538 Electoral Votes [only 507] so I assume all the votes/results are not in yet?
I hope they provide an insight to you and like minded numbers' aficionados into why Trump is the new president-elect of USA.
270 of 538 Electoral Votes needed to win
Hillary Clinton Clinton Electoral Votes 228
Donald J. Trump Trump Electoral Votes 279
Hillary Clinton Lost 5 seats –5
Donald J. Trump Gained 5 seats +5
I would appreciate updated results or final results from anyone here when they are available.
