Thanks @KEG75 - having been a SH for 9+ years, I am aware of EVM's history.
In response to your comments,
1) I think you under estimate the importance of the Paris Agreement in Australia and what it means for the renewable/energy market sector in Australia, be it for wind, wave, solar power or tower. The fact Australia has ratified the Paris Agreement means overseas cornerstone investors may re-consider Australia as an investment playground again - plenty of news articles have been published over the years, arguing Australia has been loosing out because there was no commitment to climate change - well it has now, so hopefully we will see more positive news which can benefit not only EVM but other renewable companies in the country. Will this include EVM, time will tell...
2) USA actually has 52 states.
3) The ASX SPI index fell dramatically when Brexit was announced, in fact a $50 BILLION share loss accumulated on the Australian ASX at the time. All types of companies were hit, including energy/renewables and there is no doubt EVM's SP would have felt this hit too. Suggesting major events such as Brexit has no impact on EVM's SP is hardly correct, you can't just isolate a share and say 'no ripple effects' here, because we dont deal in Europe. Many Australian companies with no business activities in the EU or UK got hammered back then, including the few renewable companies we have in the country.
4) Agree with your mate, the Duck will not last a full term - it could be another Kennedy event, except this time the policies are different in nature. On a positive note, we might all get pleasantly surprised about the Duck, I will not be to worried about any duck attacks at this stag, it will be up to the individual states in the US what they will be doing - I trust the corporate world will lead the climate change agenda with/without support from the duck. Also, past history will tell you EVM has actually been able to move/find new projects across the globe despite the political agenda being played out in various countries. We also have India and China is currently having a massive boom in renewable energy projects - been a SH many many years, not giving up now.
5) If RD doesn't return your call, let me know. I might consider contacting him again - he always has returns my calls.
Lets hope for positive news soon.
Have a nice weekend![]()
