So you don't think there is anything after you die?, page-141

Yes we do differ there, you are right.
I agree with much of what you say. I admire your take on life, but I can't see a driving, definitive purpose for life if it ends in nothingness. I would rather have not existed and yet I love my life.
My thinking is tempered by personal experience which is neither empirical nor any use to others. I believe I have experienced something that suggests we have a soul or spirit. And I mean this in the, something unique, individualist, repository of the essence of our lives sense. Not the life force sense.

I believe that our greatest arts and crafts, music, abstract beauty, literature, poetry, universal spiritual yearning, great scientific discoveries, flows from this soul. It is what stands us apart from the animal kingdom.

If we can't accumulate the essence of our accomplishments then to me it is a pointless existence. You are right, it is what I believe. I can't buy into this any other way. A lifetime of bettering ones self to have it all come to nothing is meaningless.

I used to think like you on this subject but I can't anymore.

Once again you are right, I have no idea what I'm talking about, but I have experienced, it, without knowing what, it, is.
